Biography
Program: Medical Physics
Dr. Alexandra Christensen received her bachelor’s degree in physics in 2020 at Brigham Young University and her PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Wisconsin in 2025. Dr. Christensen is interested in using envelope statistics as a quantitative ultrasound technique to explore tissue microstructure, specifically to better understand changes in the uterine cervix related to preterm birth.
Hobbies: In her free time, Dr. Christensen enjoys bouldering, gardening, and exploring Madison along with its surrounding natural environment. During long Wisconsin winters, she likes to stay warm by drinking tea and doing fiber arts.
